Founder Mario Moretti Polegato found Geox through a hot summer day, whilst jogging. He decided to puncture holes into the outer sole of his shoe; so they could cool down his feet. There after he introduced this spectacular idea to his town and received small interests; which led him to further develop the idea in 1990s on his invention. Mario’s invention is now liable in 68 countries, specializing in apparel and footwear; his intentions were to “To convert people into consumers of breathing products”.
Geox eventually introduced the idea of unhealthy foot perspiration, known as Geox breathes® system. This evolutionary invention with holds a simple membrane which absorbs perspiration from the inner sole and repels it as water vapor using micro holes in the outer sole. These tiny micro-holes are greater than water vapor, but more petite than water droplets, therefore the water only goes out but cannot come back into the shoe.
This magnificent idea is part of each Geox shoes stylish and extreme. Their range vary from casual to sporty to casual footwear for everyone in the family including children, men and women. Why suffocate your feet? When you have a pleasant brand like Geox; that offers a simple innovation of non sweaty feet.
As a branded company, Geox identified an issue with their innovating breathable technology. The downside was lack of perspiration from the feet, even though the third greatest concentration of sweat glands is located on the feet soles; it still was a problem that needed to be adjusted. Geox’s rubber shoes were by then introduced for over 50 years, this idea had still changed many lives with their creative technology, the waterproof shoes which kept millions of peoples feet dry in all kinds of weather. But Geox over came the problem with an interesting concept established as the patented system. We stock a wide range of Geox boys shoes and Geox Girls shoes
Geox breathes® patented system
This creative out break by Geox consists of rubber outer soles to allow perspiration from feet out of the shoe; the defensive breathable membrane keeps water out and the foot dry. The three strives of Geox are explained below.
The membrane
Geox invested all their energy into this revolutionary idea. They developed the membrane, which was made of spectacular micro porous fabric which was the cause of absorbing perspiration through the insole and releasing is as water vapor. This process worked well as the membranes micro-pores are greater than water vapor molecules, but tinier than water droplets- which is what prevents water from coming in and keeping the feet cool and dry.
The outer soles
A series of micro-holes are found in the rubber outsole, placed in correspondence to the highest concentration of sweat glands under the foot soles.
CONSUMER BENEFIT
It is natural to perspire through the feet but unhealthy to keep the sweat inside of shoes. The thermo graphic test has shown that by removing humidity from the inside of a shoe. Geox have created a system which will allow balancing the ideal microclimate inside of the footwear. This will result in the foot staying dry and much less overheated than the foot wearing shoe with a conventional rubber sole. |
